When it comes to bagels there are a wide variety of different flavors, arrangements, aromas, and all other sorts of shapes for your bagels and I think this is something that needs to be shared because this is really something interesting and I think if you’ve ever spent anytime around a bagel bakery then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about…

…for me personally this is something that I’ve always enjoyed and is also something that I’ve found great pride in…Tasting the different bagels around the city and getting to know how they work is what I’m all about and is something that I really think you should start trying out yourself because this is really worth spending your time on and is something that I think is really going to benefit you in so many different areas. Not only can you go out and try a bagel you can even go out and socialize and meet with other people and this is just a great way to meet people and is something that I really think everyone should try at least once…

…If any of you are interested in this or anything else I’ve written about then I really advise you to leave any comments or questions below and I’d be more than happy to take a look at anything you might be having trouble with..let’s go ahead and dive right in shall we?

Mastering The Art of the Bagel

There are many things that you should know when it comes to bagels but the first thing I’d advise you to do is just go out there and try out some of the different flavors and specialities…There are a ton of different bagel places out there each with their own specialty and method of making their bagels and this is really something that I really advise you to  go and check out for yourself…Every bagel store is different and because of this you might find that some of these are different in how they taste and how they look.

My advise to you is to go out and try three or four different places and then come back to me with what you like best. Oftentimes there are many different places out there and until you know what you actually like then you’re going to be hard-pressed to find something that sticks with you…

Now of course we’re promoting Bagel King here and this place is no exception. This is a place with a completely unique baking style and this is something that we really think you’re going to notice as well. Now for some of you that aren’t use to the different flavors and styles of bagel making then you’re going to want to make sure that you’ve tried at least a few of these out as this is going to be the best way to sample so of course if there’s anything that you’ve ever wanted to try or were curious about then I’d definitely try them out here because this place has a truly unique take on how it bakes and boils it’s bagels and we think this is a taste you’ll be able to notice.

I think the biggest determining factor that goes into what makes a good bagel is the water that the bagel is boiled in as well and I think that this is probably one of the biggest differentiators as well…Many places are so adamant about the water it’s actually something that many places try to recreate in attempts to get that authentic flavor. For instance there’s a place called New York Water Bagel that specializes in boiling it’s bagels in New York water before baking them and this according to them is really what makes all the difference.

Another thing that you’re going to want to know is that the way the bagel is flavored and seasoned makes a big change too….this might not seem that obvious but when you really think about it there are a ton of different ways this makes a difference and if you’re trying out fifteen different bagels then these types of things really start coming into play and I think this is really something you’ll want to pay attention to and start trying out yourself…

What to Know

Like I said there are a lot of different things to take into account when picking out your bagel shop but I think the most important thing is how you see the place and how you like the environment. This is big for a lot of reasons but at the end of the day this is your life and your taste-buds and because there’s just so many different types of bagels out there I’d really advise you to go out there and test out four or five bagel shops before picking anything…

Now as far as what to look for this is a whole other can of worms and is going to give you a broad range of different things to look for – here’s a few of the things that I’ll look for when looking for a good bagel shop.

Bagels: The first thing that you’re going to want to look at is the bagels themselves. How are they tasting? Are they fresh? This is really important for a number of reasons but is something that I really think you’re going to want to know about because there’s really no reason you shouldn’t have a full knowledge base of all the different types of bagels and flavors out there I mean they’ve got great selections out there you just need to know what to look for. Try out a few different bagels to see what the place is like and by then you should have a decent idea of what you’re dealing with.

Baking Process: The next thing that you’ll want to inquire about is the baking process. This is going to really be an interesting thing to look for and is also going to give you a complete idea of how they actually make their bagels. This is big for a lot of reasons but is something that I really think you’re going to benefit from because oftentimes you’ll see that different bagel places have different techniques they use to make their bagels and this can significantly impact the flavoring and overall look of the bagel that you’re eating as well so make sure you inquire about this before setting your sights on any one bagel shop.

Toppings: The last thing that I would look into is the toppings. Toppings are big for a lot of reasons and are really going to be the final straw in the overarching “bagel picture”. This will give you a complete idea of what they offer and will also be the missing link between a good bagel and just another bagel at the shop. Now some people actually prefer to not have any toppings and this makes sense for a lot of reasons, especially if the bagel is fresh you’re not going to want to ruin that with a topping but oftentimes this is a great way to get a little additional flavoring with your bagel and will give you quite a huge range of flavors if you’re so inclined. The biggest things I look for in toppings are the different types of flavors they have and also the different toppings as well. For instance some places have cream cheese flavors that they’ll test out and others have different toppings (like salmon, tomatoes, onions, etc.) and all of these give a bagel shop it’s own unique “flavor”. Once you figure out what these flavors are then you’ll really have a better idea of what to look for in a bagel shop.

Connecting the Dots

At the end of the day every bagel is different. No one bagel shop is going to be the same (even if they’re in the same brand) and because of this it’s really important to make sure that you’ve thoroughly researched your bagel shops before going out and deciding on one…

…This is important for a lot of reasons but is something that I really think you’re going to enjoy because bagels are fun and so is going out and trying these different places so bring a friend along and make it an activity! Every Friday you can go out and try a new bagel store and this is a great way for you to test out the different flavors and give yourself something to do for the day…give it a try!
